Chem Dawg Strain Guide: Effects, THC, Lineage and Grow Tips
Chem Dawg is a diesel-scented hybrid with 15 to 22 percent THC, a fast cerebral high, and a lineage that produced OG Kush and Sour Diesel.
You can buy Chem Dawg seeds from licensed US seed banks, breeder direct drops, and established online cannabis seed retailers that ship to states with legal cannabis programs. Authentic Chemdawg genetics usually come from breeders offering regular, feminized, or autoflowering versions, and prices typically run $50 to $150 per pack of 6 to 12 seeds. Always verify state law, seller reputation, and lab documentation before you pay.
Where can you legally buy Chem Dawg seeds in the US?
Cannabis seeds sit in a legal gray zone. Under federal law, cannabis remains a Schedule I controlled substance, but many states allow licensed seed sales for adults 21 and older. Hemp seeds with less than 0.3% delta-9 THC are federally legal under the 2018 Farm Bill, yet Chem Dawg is a high THC strain, so its seeds fall under state cannabis rules.
Best Chem Dawg Concentrate Prices
Buy from state licensed dispensaries or seed banks when your state permits retail cannabis seeds. Otherwise, reputable online seed retailers ship discreetly, though customs seizure risk exists for interstate or international orders.
Which sellers carry authentic Chem Dawg genetics?
Look for breeders with a documented history of Chemdawg lines, such as Chemdog 91, Chem's Sister, and Chem D. Established seed banks publish breeder names, batch numbers, and germination rates. Avoid listings that show only stock photos with no breeder credit.
Is Chem Dawg Indica or Sativa?
- Licensed US seed banks with state permits

What are common pitfalls when buying Chem Dawg seeds?
Mislabeled white label seeds are the biggest risk. Some sellers rename cheap hybrids as Chemdawg to charge premium prices. Request lab certificates (COA) for potency and pathogen testing when available. Skip vendors with no physical address, no refund policy, or reviews only on their own site.
International orders can be seized by US Customs, and some seed banks refuse reshipment. Domestic sellers reduce that risk. Also avoid "auto Chem Dawg" listings that lack breeder lineage, since true autoflowering Chemdawg crosses are limited.
How much do Chem Dawg seeds cost?
Expect $50 to $150 for a 6 to 12 seed pack from a known breeder. Rare Chemdog 91 regular seeds and clone only S1 lines can exceed $200. Feminized packs usually cost more than regular seeds because they save space and time.
Are Chem Dawg seeds legal to buy in the US?
Legality depends on your state. Recreational states like California, Colorado, and Michigan permit adult seed sales. Some medical only states allow seeds with a patient card. Check your state cannabis authority before ordering, and never assume federal legality for high THC seeds.
