Find the Best Weed Near You
Discover top cannabis brands and where to buy THC products online in your area.
Type your city and "dispensary" into a licensed directory such as Weedmaps or Leafly, filter for recreational or medical sales, then confirm the shop's license on your state cannabis regulator's website before you leave the house. If your state has no legal retail market, there is no legal shop to find, and any listing that offers to ship or deliver to you is not operating under state law.
"Near me" assumes one market. In the US there are three: states with adult-use and medical sales, states with medical sales only, and states with no legal retail at all. A dispensary twelve minutes away can be fully legal, while the same drive across a border puts you in a different legal universe. Possession limits, taxes, and product rules reset at the state line, and carrying cannabis across state lines is still a federal offense even when both states allow sales.
Most directories show the same handful of details, and a few of them matter more than the photos.
Recreational buyers need a government ID showing they are 21 or older. Medical patients usually need a state-issued card or a certification from a qualifying provider, and they often get lower taxes, higher purchase limits, and access to products with stronger THC concentrations. If you hold a card from another state, call ahead. Some states honor out-of-state medical cards, most do not.
Bring your ID and a debit card or cash. Federal banking rules keep most dispensaries working in cash, so many run an ATM on site and some accept debit transactions that behave like cash. Credit cards are rare. Expect a check-in counter, a waiting area, and a budtender who asks what effects you are after rather than which strain name you have heard. Ask to see the lab test label if potency, terpenes, or contaminants matter to you. It is printed on the package or available on request.
Licensed delivery exists in a growing number of states, and in some places it is the only legal option. The rules mirror storefronts: ID check at the door, taxes on the receipt, sealed and labeled packaging. Delivery windows run long in busy metros, so order early. If a service promises same-hour drop-off with no ID and no taxes, that is the clearest sign you are looking at an unlicensed operation.
Confirm the license, check that the menu was updated today, and call if the listing looks thin. Then look up your state's possession limit so you know what you can legally carry home. How much you can buy in one transaction and how much you can keep are separate numbers, and they are not the same in every state.
